Pure beeswax + beechwood wick
Seasonal engravings
Each piece of artwork is made by humans, for humans. The graphic is laser engraved on heat resistant glass. No stickers or adhesives are used on our candles. Subtle branding allows the flame to be enjoyed without large distracting labels. The engraved artwork will change with each season. We partner with local artists to craft unique functional artwork.
Pure Beeswax
Pure beeswax is bright and burns for many times longer than paraffin or soy. Pure beeswax is naturally occurring, allowing minimal processing and no chemicals needed throughout the agricultural process. Paraffin and soy wax can have a large negative impact on our environment and on our health. Beeswax is a renewable energy source and is safe to burn around all humans and animals.
Beechwood wick
The beechwood wick allows for greater endurance than cotton or hemp. The result is a consistently bright burning candle that uses up all of the wax. Our wicks are made of pure beechwood, we never use glue. The stainless steel wick holder is held in place by beeswax and the concave of the glass jar. Beechwood is naturally aromatic, burns clean, and crackles like a small campfire.
Clean burning
Beeswax is the most clean burning of all of the waxes. It must be pure beeswax to insure a soot free burn. Many candle makers choose to mix in low quality wax to save cost. Low quality and synthetic waxes can release toxic compounds into the air. Beeswax can improve the air quality. It can purify, dehumidify, deodorize, and deionize.
Naturally scented
Scented candles commonly contain many different harmful chemicals in their oils and dyes. When burned, they release toxic compounds into the air, and our bodies absorb them. Scented candles can also become rancid over time, increasing toxicity and waste. We use pure yellow beeswax with no added fragrance. It has a naturally aromatic honey scent, while remaining completely hypo-allergenic.
Never expires
Beeswax candles can be shelf stable at room temperature for thousands of years. We use glass jars with wooden lids to best protect the wax from humidity and oxidation. Aluminum and tin jars can leach metals into beeswax over time and affect its color, scent, and texture. Our jars have the ability to be used repeatedly after the candle has been burned. Nothing needs to be thrown away.
